I like the name – this phone is definitely NOT going to wing it when it comes to features. This multimedia-friendly PDA phone has got most anything you want: from high quality phone calls and long battery life to a host of other features such as Office Mobile. This means you can work on Word, Excel, and Powerpoint files. More than that, for multimedia fans, you have Windows Media Player, a still-image and video camera. You can even have instant messaging applications such as ICQ, AOL, and Yahoo Messenger. It seems that this phone just has about everything covered.
So what’s the catch? Well its price is pretty steep - $300 with a 2-year contract with T-Mobile. Still, other PDA phones are in the same price range. Some users have issues with the design of the phone. For example, the buttons located in around the phone’s edges are reportedly hard to press. There have been reviews about the volume slider which is supposed to be a bit difficult to adjust.
Other gripes are more focused on the software and not the hardware. Windows Mobile 6 – its operating system – can be a bit overwhelming and dizzying when it comes to options. Not exactly user friendly. According to one reviewer, his experience was harrying: “To disable the wireless antennas and put the phone into flight mode, I had to traverse three screens–more before I found a helpful shortcut–just to get to the point in Communications Manager where I could disable the wireless radio.” It is Windows, what else can you expect?
