The online radio station Pandora which has grown in leaps and bounds over the past year can now be accessed anytime, anywhere by people with subscriptions to the telecom giant Sprint. For the first time, Pandora is made available in a mobile set up. Sprint is offering access to Pandora in select Sprint Power Vision phones - FUSIC by LG, A900 and A920 by Samsung, and 7500 and 8400 by Sanyo.
The mobile version of Pandora is not different from the original version. Users still have to enter a song or an artist and Pandora will generate songs which are similar in nature. Perhaps the high point of the mobile Pandora is the fact that it is seamlessly integrated with the online version. This means that your account can be accessed and modified both through the computer or your Sprint mobile phone. Creating new radio stations, adding new songs, listening to your stations – all these can be done whether you are at home on the Net or in your car on the way to work.
In addition to the normal features of Pandora, Sprint users can also bookmark certain songs. This action will save the title and the artist. It can also be a reminder to the user to download the song from the Sprint Music Store. If you have a Power Vision data plan, each song will costs only 99 cents to download.
So how much will this set you back? By the end of June, Sprint users can avail of the 30-day free trial after which an additional $2.99 per month will be charged (on top of other standard charges).
