Wii! Smash. Nooo!

I personally still don’t know anyone who has smashed a TV screen with their Wiimote but in case you have experienced this or had near misses then you will certainly be interested in the new product that a Thailand company, LCDArm Technology, came up with.

The new Frameless Anti-UV Protective Filter LCD TV is designed to not only protect you from the TV’s radiation but the TV from YOU as you play games on your Wii. Proudly listed as an application is the sentence “Click here to play Wii without smashing TV”. I guess that means that you can now play your Wii with abandon. Seriously though, this protective filter is great especially for parents who have heart attacks watching their hyper kids play in front of the TV.

For those who still aren’t convinced and doubt the shield’s ability to protect your TV let it be known the it is made from a material called “PMMA” optical grade, which means it has a strong impact resistance. The safety shield is avialable for 30-inch to 46-inch LCD TVs. LCDArm also makes protective filters for smaller TVs although those aren’t guaranteed to work against errant Wiimotes.
