If you are a credit card junkie you’d probably be deep in debt wish you lived in Turkey. Garanti Bank and Mastercard has teamed up and is reported to be working on a PayPass wristwatch. Yes. You’ve got that right. It seems that paying with credit cards, whether swipeless or not, is still too much of a hassle for some people.

PayPass is Mastercards newest method payment. It works just like credit cards except that you don’t need to hand it over the counter and wait for it to be swiped to purchase anything. When using Paypass all you need to do is move it near the PayPass reader, tap it (credit card, key fob, mobile phone, and now your wristwatch), wait for the beep (it should be instantaneous) and you’re done. PayPass IS indeed very convenient but it only works for smaller purchases so in case you need to buy anything over $25 you will still need to undergo the hassle of signing the receipt. If you don’t fancy digging into your pocket for loose change each time you buy something at the convenient store or go out for coffee though PayPass is just right for you.

For those who are keen on getting a PayPass wristwatch you’d better hurry up since only a limited number of these watches will be released. There is no word yet as to how much the watches will cost and how and where to buy them.
