After a very very long wait, Nokia users can now get their hands on the 3G Symbian smartphone, N75. All we have been seeing up to now are mixed reviews from various users of the N75. For one, it is tied to Cingular/AT&T. Of course, if you are an AT&T subscriber it will not be a concern at all. Plus, it would only take $199.99 for the phone for a 2-year contract (after rebates). I say that is a very good price for this phone.
What about the design? Let’s just say that there are better looking phones out there. The color scheme is great – it is a classic. But the N75 does not have the flair of other phones with the same scheme. With its size, it is also quite bulky. On the upside, the size makes for a wide display screen and a 1.3-inch external display screen on which you can see most anything you need.
As with most other Nokia phones, the menus on this phone are easy to navigate. The keypad is quite spacious – good news to fat fingers! This phone’s main purpose (aside from being a phone, that is) is for music. That is why there are two speakers on both sides of the phone. On the downside, the N75 has very short battery life, no support for WiFi, HSDPA, or GPS.
We really can’t say that the N75 is the best phone there is – especially for those who are not into Nokia at all.
