The yet unannounced Nokia 8600 Luna is looking good right now with its pictures leaked all over the Internet. Dubbed as a “Nokia High Fashion” handset, this phone does seem to be promising a lot – at least in terms of its look. With a sleek design and classic black color, the Luna is sure to catch the eyes of mobile phone enthusiasts.

This futuristic phone is going to be quad band GSM/EDGE and will be made of stainless steel and glass – imagine that! The slider over the keypad will actually be translucent glass. The stainless steel is sounding good to me but the glass scares me. It definitely looks great but imagine how you would feel if your Luna accidentally fell from your hands (or pocket for that matter) onto the floor or the pavement!

Aside from its looks, the Nokia 8600 Luna is rumored to have a 2 megapixel camera (not bad) and a 1 gigabyte on board memory (now that is something to look forward to!). The latter feature, if true, will surely give the Nokia 8600 Luna an edge over other phones in the market. However, we do have a healthy measure of doubt as to whether Nokia will really put that much on board memory on it.

Though there is no official word from Noki – yet – the rumor is that this baby will set you back about $700. Yes you read that right – almost a thousand bucks for this “High Fashion” phone. The question is: will it be worth it?
