Here comes the moment that Nokia fans have been waiting for – the arrival of the Nokia 6120 Classic. Weighing in at a mere 89 grams, this small phone packs in dual band HSDPA/UMTS and quad band GSM plus GPRS/EDGE capabilities. Though small in size – especially when compared to its other Nokia relatives – the 6120 Classic has a 2 inch screen which can display 16 million colors. Add to that a 2 megapixel primary camera (with flash) and a secondary one for video calling, microSD expandable memory (up to 2GB), Bluetooth, a multimedia player and an FM radio. It seems pretty nifty doesn’t it? Oh did I mention that this is a Symbian S60 smartphone?
What about the downsides to the 6120 Classic – are there any? Well for one, it has a talk time of only about 3 hours on GSM and 2.4 hours on 3G. Of course, for some, these are pretty good numbers. Another thing, for those who are into car kits, the 6120 Classic doesn’t have a Pop-Port at the bottom. Thus, a standard car kit will not do for this phone. One big concern for many people is its looks. Take a look for yourself and tell me – isn’t it a little too ordinary looking? I suppose that Nokia could have added a little more flair to the 6120 Classic. Then again, if its features and functionality that we are talking about, it can more than hold its own against other phones in its class.
