Latte, macchiato, cappuccino. You name it this machine can do it. Of course this isn’t surprising since the Latissima is the result of a joint venture by Nestlé Nespresso, the recognized worldwide pioneer and market leader in the single-serve coffee segment, and De’Longhi, one of the most renowned electric household appliance companies in Italy.

The Nespresso Latissima is the newest product in an impressive line of Nespresso machines (It’s so new it isn’t even listed on their website yet). The coffee machine was named such because of its main highlight, which is its “One-Touch” Fresh Milk Froth function. Latissima is derived from the Italian words “latte”, which means milk, and “issima”, which connotes best. Hence latissima means something like “best milk”. The machine was designed to serve up the best lattes and cappuccinos in the world. Now since I haven’t tried it I cannot verify its veracity but from the reputation of the makers this might not be far from the truth.

Even if doesn’t make the best cappuccinos the Nespresso Latissima is still one of the hottest machines around with its great features. Aside from the famous one-touch fresh milk function the machine also boasts an auto clean mode, detachable milks and water containers, and adjustable platform for your cup, and a twin pump and heating system (one for producing coffee and the other for frothing milk). And if this isn’t enough to get coffee addicts excited the Latissima will make you a cup of cappuccino in less than a minute and a cup of macchiato in just 80 seconds.
