Motorola RAZR 2

“Hello, Moto!” Who can forget that signature line from Motorola’s array of mobile phones? More so, who can forget about the hullabaloo that came along with the iconic Motorola RAZR? From the first version to the V3i and the V3x, this line up of phones has caught the attention of mobile phone lovers the world over. Now, Motorola has announced the newest baby in the line up – the RAZR 2. What can we expect from the latest addition to the RAZR family?

It will be available in 3.6 Mbps HSDPA, EV-DO, and GSM/EDGE. The phones for each protocol will be dubbed V9, V9m, and V8, respectively. If you are into slim phones, then this one is going to get your attention. Being 2 mms slimmer than it predecessor, the RAZR 2 will even be more stylish and lightweight. In some versions, the RAZR 2 will be utilizing software developed in Linux. In fact, these phones will be only the second batch of phones to be using this platform – the first phone was the Z6.

Aside from the looks and the platform, is there any other reason for one to get hold of the RAZR 2? Imagine a phone that adjusts the volume and quality of your voice depending on the surrounding noise? Well this baby does just that with that is termed “Crystal Talk.” Other features include a 2-megapixel camera (nothing different), Bluetooth profiles, HTML browser, Windows Media Player synchronization, a 2-inch external display, and twice the screen resolution of the original RAZR (now that is something I want).
