Know if its Time to Pump Up the Party

Party Meter

Clocks, whether analog or digital, are mainly used to tell the time. Nowadays though people just won’t be satisfied with a gadget that does only one thing. That would be boring indeed. There are now so many high tech uses for watches. Some wristwatches act as credit cards (PayPass wristwatch from Garanti Bank in Turkey), some have GPS systems (Suunto watches), and some have even the full functionality of mobile phones (SMS M500)!

Clock of course don’t want to be left behind in the quest for more functions in one device. Though not as high tech nor as useful as the wristwatches mentioned above the Party Timer is just as cool or hot (whichever way you look at it) as these watches.Party Timer is a basic digital clock but when put in Party Mode it doubles as a “party meter”. The party meter shows if your party is hopping or its time to pump up the party. The meter changes its display depending on how lame or how hot the party is. If you’re having a really lame party it will show frowning faces with a “No Party” tag. The craziest parties can expect a yellow display that says “Atom Party”, though if you reach this stage you’ll probably be visited by the police for noise pollution.

The party meter works in a very simple manner. It measures the loudness of its surroundings and has a set display for specific decibel ranges (The Atom Party rating is achieved at noise levels of more than 160 decibels). So if you’re feeling pretty lonely you can party with yourself and turn on the stereo in front of the clock. Who are you fooling? Now THAT is lame.
