Bluetooth Capability Added to eMotion

Bluetooth eMotion

MediaStreet has been known for its pigmented photo printer ink yet it branched out to produce a totally different kind of gadget – the eMotion. The eMotion was released a couple of years back and was marketed mainly as a digital photo frame. However, it also doubles as a portable DVD/VCD player. When it was first released, many people were impressed by the new idea. Indeed, the concept was revolutionary. However, the very same people were quite disappointed with the execution of the eMotion.

Early this month, MediaStreet made some changes and tweaked the eMotion a bit, presumably to enhance its appeal to the general public (that’s us I guess). With most every gadget coming with Bluetooth capability now, MediaStreet decided to enable the eMotion with Bluetooth as well. So how does this translate into usability and customer satisfaction?

Well imagine taking pictures with your Bluetooth enabled camera phone. You want to view those pictures in a more prominent place where people other than you can see them. Just turn on Bluetooth on both your phone and your eMotion and you can transfer the pictures directly. On the other hand, MediaStreet did not totally eliminate the more “traditional” means of transferring photos. The picture frame still has 256MB of internal memory by which you can import media into via SD, CF, SDHC, MMC, MS / MSPro, xD, or USB 2.0. For $149 you can get this gadget for yourself. I don’t know if I am willing to spend that much on one, though.
