Venezuela’s import and export industry is growing at a steady rate to keep abreast with the rest of the world. In response to this positive development, 444.Net ePay Enterprise has launched its own online payment system to cater to certified members who are importers and exporters in this South American country.
Certified 444.Net members are assured of continuous support from the ePay Enterprise once they meet the necessary requirements on facilities, logistics and quality control. This online payment firm will also help members with concerns on logistics. And to ensure the proper handling and security of products, 444.Net will soon open offices in places where sellers normally send their high quality goods to customers. This effort is geared towards preventing scams which sometimes involves buyers complaining about not receiving their ordered goods and asking for a refund or delivery of new products.
444.Net will initially put up a physical point of verification in Venezuela to accept Venezuelan credit cards which are governed by a currency control known as CADIVI. Credit cards in Venezuela are not accepted in other places hence, this need to open an office. With this system in place, 444.Net will be able to collect from the credit cards used by certified members in Venezuela and pay sellers who use their online payment system through bank transfer. Payment to sellers will be made once verified that they have delivered the goods ordered by customers.

With the advent of the internet and online payment system, maybe you’re wondering if most people have permanently said goodbye to the paper money and checks. Well, not quite. But there’s a positive development.
In the United States, it has been noted that the number of people turning to the internet in making their financial transactions like paying bills and other items is on the upswing. A 2006 survey of 1,200 online consumers conducted by CheckFree and Lieberman Research Worldwide found that people using the online payment system or the so-called maximizers has grown by 85 percent since 2004. This group composed of 57 percent male is seen to readily adopt an electronic billing and payment program. Maximizers are also expected to be the first to adopt the paperless bills.
On the other hand, the survey also showed that the number of consumers who prefer to use cash and checks has declined. These people belong to the group called the paranoid paper pushers who still don’t feel safe using the internet in paying bills. The number of paper pushers went down from 22 percent in 2004 to only nine percent in 2006.

There’s one aspect of the internet that is seen to continue its growth. This is the online payment services that are getting better and easier through time. This has been a very useful innovation in the financial world which has transformed people’s lives, according to BBC technology commentator Bill Thompson.
The quick and convenient online payment system can change people’s purchasing habits without them noticing, said Thompson. Compared to filling out an online form asking for your credit card information, consumers would most likely choose to pay using an online account that allows them to just input the email address of the company or person whom they are paying.
This is the clear advantage of online payment services over banks and other financial institutions. Thompson said money here becomes an access key, instead of a token, enabling an individual to manipulate records in financial databases. Unlike banks that offer dull online banking and basic mobile services, online payment services are more functional and more useful to small and medium scale businesses that may need to pay only small amounts. Private individuals can also greatly benefit from this service especially when sending and receiving money to and from families overseas.
